Tracia Pounder is an avid Credit Unionist with fourteen years experience in that unique industry. She currently serves as Marketing Officer of Barbados’ largest credit union – the Barbados Public Workers’ Co-operative Credit Union Ltd.
In her day job, Tracia is responsible for managing and directing the marketing and communication activities of the Credit Union.
Aside from her day-to-day duties, Tracia has served on various Credit Union Committees both at the institutional and national level. In 2011, she was awarded the World Council of Credit Union’s (WYCUP) scholarship, the first Barbadian and fourth Caribbean National to earn this distinction.
Tracia is a graduate of the University of the West Indies with a B.Sc. in Economics and Management, and the Chartered Institute of Marketing (UK) where she earned the Professional Certificate in Marketing qualification.
Tracia is now pursuing a M.Sc. Marketing with the Edinburgh Business School (Scotland).
She currently serves as a volunteer on the Board of Trustees of the recently-formed Legacy Foundation, Registered Charity 978.
In her spare time, Tracia enjoys reading, seeing new places, liming with friends and watching movies and TV series – anything medieval.
